1. Melt extrusion
Meltblown production line manufacturers tell you that the amount of polymer melt extruded affects fiber linear density and output. The higher the grams per minute of polymer melt extruded from the fuse hole, the thicker the fiber. Therefore, on the premise of ensuring the fiber fineness of the meltblown non-woven fabric, the number of spinneret holes must be increased to increase the output of meltblown.
2. Drawing heat flow rate
The secondary heat flow rate is the main process parameter in the melt blowing process, which directly affects the fineness of the fibers. For a quantitative polymer melt extrusion and a given melt viscosity, the higher the drafting gas velocity, the greater the drafting effect on the polymer melt microflow on the spinning line, and the thinner the fibers.
Meltblown production line manufacturers tell you that in industrial production, high-velocity hot air is usually used to compensate for fiber diameter changes caused by the increase in polymer extrusion, i.e., the secondary hot air flow rate must match the polymer extrusion.
3. Melting temperature
Melt blowing temperature refers to the working temperature, and the melt nozzle can be used to adjust the viscosity of the polymer melt. The melting temperature is usually higher than the melting point of the PP resin, making it in a viscous flow state. Meltblown production line manufacturers tell you that when other process conditions remain the same, the lower the viscosity of the polymer melt, the finer the melt drip. Therefore, microfibers can be easily obtained by using high MF polymer chip material in the melt spray process. However, too little melt viscosity can cause the melt flow to overextend, resulting in ultra-short fibers that fly into the air and cannot be collected, also known as "flying" during melt spraying. Therefore, in order to prevent the melt from breaking under the action of shearing force, the melt viscosity of polypropylene materials usually used for melt blowing is in the range of 50-300 Pas.
